Mississippi v. TCU – Chick-fil-A Peach Bowl, Dec. 31, 12:30pm
How angry is TCU that they dropped out of the Playoff? That may come into play here, and that’s why this is a tasty matchup. Any team in the SEC West would certainly be a favorite against almost anyone outside of the conference. TCU bows to no one. This will be a good test for them and an opportunity to prove to everyone that they indeed have a case for being one of the best four teams in the country. Their offense is electric. Quarterback Trevone Boykin was in the Heisman conversation a few weeks ago. The Horned Frogs are the second-highest scoring team in the nation with a defense that holds teams to around 20 points per game. They are as complete a team as Gary Patterson has had in Fort Worth. That offense will be tested against Ole Miss. The Rebels faded a bit down the stretch after an incredible victory against Alabama. But they still boast the best scoring defense in the country (13 points per game) with a defensive back seven that finds the ball and flips the field. It will be fun to see how this game unfolds: defensive struggle or high-flying shootout.
PREDICTION: Ole Miss 28, TCU 27
