Seton Hall has reached the NCAA Tournament three times in a row and finally won a game in 2018. However, that was probably their best chance to make a tournament run for the foreseeable future. This year the Pirates lose three double digit scorers and moving on without Desi Rodriguez, Khadeen Carrington and Angel Delgado will not be an easy task. Coach Kevin Willard has brought in some new, experienced players to help fill the void. Division I transfers Quincy McKnight and Taurean Thompson and junior college transfer Romaro Gill will add some much needed experience to the roster.

Projection:
Myles Powell is the only proven scorer returning for the 2018-2019 campaign. Powell, a 6-2 junior, averaged 15.5 points per game and connected on a team high 94 three-pointers. In Powell, Seton Hall has a dynamic scoring threat who can put up points in a hurry. He will do a lot for this team, but will need some help. Some of that will come from the newcomers, but returning players Michael Nzei, Sandro Mamukelashvili and Myles Cale will need to be ready to boost their output too. Nzei will be the new top rebounder and Mamukelashvili can add some help on the glass, but both of them can do some scoring in the paint too. Cale showed some potential as a freshman and the 6-6 wing can be a dynamic scoring threat if his outside shot becomes more consistent. Seton Hall may not get back to the NCAA Tournament, but this is a team that can compete in the Big East and should have enough talent to pull off an upset or two along the way. Remaining consistent with so many new players could be a concern though and too many bad losses will keep the Pirates closer to the NIT than the NCAA.
