South Florida will look to defend their American Athletic Conference title in what should again be a very close and exciting race. The Bulls will be right in the thick of that race thanks to the return of pitchers Georgina Corrick and Cheyenne Eggens. Corrick went 15-9 last season with a 1.68 ERA. Eggens hurled 80.2 innings and went 8-4 with a 1.82 ERA. Eggens has been an important part of the USF rotation for three years and Corrick is coming off a superb freshman campaign and has the potential to emerge as one of the best pitchers in the nation.

Projection:
South Florida returns three proven hitters in Lindsey Devitt, Mia Fung and Brooke Hartman. Devitt hit an impressive .379 last season and belted six homeruns and drove in a team high 41 RBIs. She was an All-AAC selection last year and is on the shortlist of players likely to bring home player of the year honors when all is said and done. Fung and Hartman may not match the consistency of Devitt at the plate, but both batted at least .270 last season and are big time homerun threats. The return of Bethany Keen will add even more options for Coach Ken Ericksen. Keen missed last year with an injury, but led the Bulls with 14 extra-base hits as a freshman back in 2017.
