Georgia Tech returned to the NCAA Tournament last year after a very, very rare two season absence. The Yellow Jackets hosted a regional, but failed to advance after falling twice to Auburn. Coach Danny Hall has some big holes to fill, most notably Tristin English, Kyle McCann and Connor Thomas, but this group has some very experienced pieces to build around and more than enough young talent to fill in around them.

2019: 43-19, 22-12

Andy Archer, P, DNP last season

Projection:
The pitching staff is a bit inexperienced, but there should be a lot of depth in this group. Jonathan Hughes should step into a starting role after coming out of the bullpen 26 times in 2019. He went 9-2 with a 5.09 ERA. Sophomores Cort Roedig got some quality starting experience in 2019 and did quite well at times, limiting the opposition to a .202 batting average and recording a 4.88 ERA. The bullpen will welcome back Andy Archer, who missed last season with an injury. He was a staple out of the bullpen in 2019, making 26 appearances. The pitching staff should be in good shape, but replacing English and McCann in the lineup could prove difficult. The good news is that Michael Guldberg, Luke Waddell, Jackson Webb and Colin Hall are all back after hitting over .300 last season. Baron Radcliff only hit .257, but he belted 12 homeruns. He is the only returning player to hit more than two homeruns in 2019. Freshmen like Drew Compton, Jake Holland and Andrew Jenkins will help fill the void. If the new faces can be productive, Georgia Tech will be in the mix to host another regional in 2020.
