Montana got back on the right track in 2019 as head coach Bobby Hauck led the Grizzlies back to the FCS Playoffs and a ten-win season. Montana has a storied history of success in football and thus it was very important for them to return to the playoffs after a three-year absence. Looking ahead to the spring of 2021 when the Big Sky Conference is scheduled to return to action the Grizzlies should be primed to contend with Weber State for the conference championship. In addition, Montana should benefit from an increased home field advantage in the spring as the weather in Missoula will still be unpredictable to say the least even if fans aren’t present.
