Georgia Tech reached the NCAA Tournament for the first time since Coach Josh Pastner took over the program to the NIT. Now the Yellow Jackets will look to continue that success. However, Georgia Tech lost their top two scorers in Moses Wright and Jose Alvardo. That leaves some holes for Coach Pastner to fill and a few questions for the team to answer before they can reach another NCAA Tournament.

Projection:
Michael Devoe and Jordan Usher were both double digit scorers last season. Devoe is a great outside shooter and connected on 40.0 percent of his 145 attempts from beyond the arc last season. He also dished out 3.3 assists and grabbed 4.3 rebounds. Usher is a big 6-7 wing who can do a bit of everything. He averaged 11.6 points, 4.2 rebounds, 2.8 assists and 1.6 steals. With a little more consistency from long range, Usher will be tough to defend. Bubba Parham was not asked to do much scoring last season, but he started 14 games and is a good glue guy. Kyle Sturdivant and Tristan Maxwell, who played in just one game as a freshman due to an injury, will add more scoring threats to the backcourt. The top incoming freshman, Dallan Coleman, is another big guard who can score in a variety of ways and Coach Pastner has also brought in Mississippi State transfer Deivon Smith. It is in the frontcourt where Georgia Tech really needs players to step up. Khalid Moore has been a part-time starter for the Yellow Jackets for the last three years and should step into a larger role in 2021-2022. Rodney Howard and Saba Gigiberia are the only players on the roster over 6-8, but neither have seen much playing time. Georgia Tech will play small, but they can be successful doing that. Somebody will have to at least hit the glass effectively to help cover for the 8.0 rebounds per game lost with Wright. If that happens, the Yellow Jackets should be in good shape to remain competitive in the ACC.
