#3 Oklahoma State vs. #14 Kansas State

Oklahoma brought Kansas State back to earth last week. The 58-17 loss was a big reality check for the Wildcats. Unfortunately, this week won’t be much different. Oklahoma State embarrassed the Baylor Bears last week in a 59-24 bloodbath. What really impressed me last week was the Cowboys’ defense. They held the prolific Baylor offense to three points in three quarters. Oklahoma State is playing their best football of the year right now. Running back Joseph Randle has eight touchdowns in the past two weeks. The scary thing is that Oklahoma State is a passing offense. If they can keep the balanced attack going, they’ll role into their game against Oklahoma undefeated and looking towards a BCS showdown with the winner of the SEC.

Predicted Winner: Oklahoma State

#6 Oklahoma vs. Texas A&M

With a loss to Missouri in overtime last week, the Aggies have fallen out of the rankings. This season has been a disappointment for Aggie fans. With Ryan Tannehill in his senior season, they had high hopes. With the Oklahoma Sooners next on the schedule, it’s do or die for A&M. But the Sooners have a lot of ground to make up after losing to Texas Tech. A win against the Kansas State Wildcats helped their cause, but they need to keep the winning going. Landry Jones has eclipsed 3000 yards passing and has 26 touchdown passes on the season. The Sooners get the win and still have a shot at winning the Big 12.

Predicted Winner: Oklahoma

#21 Texas vs. Texas Tech

Texas Tech has been a wildcard this season. They barely beat a bad Nevada team, and then they nearly get a win against Texas A&M. They beat Oklahoma, and then they were blown out by Iowa State. Quarterback Seth Doege has looked good this season, but he threw two interceptions last week and no touchdowns. So which team will show up against the Texas Longhorns? Losing to Iowa State 41-7 is rough. That will take awhile to recover from. Texas will take advantage of a shell-shocked Texas Tech team and get the win.

Predicted Winner: Texas

Baylor vs. Missouri

The Bears have been blown out in their last two games and haven’t played a home game in almost a month. To put it lightly, they have not played well lately. A lot of their recent woes can be attributed to poor red zone execution. On the other hand, Missouri is coming off of a great win in College Station. James Franklin showed us just how good he can be as a runner. This means trouble for the Bears’ defense. Baylor has the second worst run defense in the Big 12. And we haven’t even mentioned Henry Josey, the Tigers’ leading rusher and possibly the best running back in the conference. Baylor needs to figure out how to stop the run if they want to get the win.

Predicted Winner: Missouri

Iowa State vs. Kansas

Jayhawk fans may have forgotten about their football team now that basketball season is days away. They are 2-6 overall and are 0-5 in conference. Iowa State is just above them at 4-4 overall with a 1-4 conference record. The Cyclones are coming off of a big win against Texas Tech though. They’ll ride this momentum into their game against Kansas and keep the Jayhawks winless in conference play.

Predicted Winner: Iowa State
