Lucas Sims, Senior, Pitcher, High School
Overview:
Lucas Sims is a power pitcher with a good fastball that he throws in the low 90’s. He mixes in two off-speed pitches in his curveball and changeup with his fastball. His curveball is his best pitch. All three of these pitches have plus potential. He is committed to Clemson and is a smart young man. He seems to be a student of the game and will continue to learn and study the game of baseball.
Final Projection:
Sims should be a mid first round selection. He has good size, a smooth delivery, and changes speed well. This makes him difficult to hit and helps him dominate hitters. As he continues to master the art of pitching, he has a chance to be a top end of the rotation pitcher.
