Daniel Porter
Bio
Daniel Porter is a student at Jacksonville State University studying journalism and majoring in communications. He began covering sports while in high school in Columbiana, AL as a member of the baseball team, while he didn’t play a lot he kept the books and began to write stories on games which quickly spread to other sports. He created an athletic website for his school which he kept current while he was in school. He chose to attend JSU for college and soon found a position as a sports writer at the university’s newspaper, The Chanticleer. He is currently the Sports Editor and hopes to find a career in sports writing in the future.
